About The Wholesome Hedonist

Welcome to The Wholesome Hedonist. I’m Roxanna, your host for the evening. Here are three things you should know about me:

1. I love to eat. No, really, I mean I LOVE it. When I talk about food, my eyes get bright, my voice goes up an octave, my hands are waving in the air: I look like I’m about to meet my long lost sister. But really, I’m talking about the guacamole I had for lunch.

2. Not only do I love to eat, I love to eat well. Beautiful, satisfying meals – whether at home or eaten out - are an important part of my life. I’ve been known to prepare a delicious breakfast and then wave it in front of my husband’s face, taunting, ‘Don’t you wish you had this? I know you do…’

3. Not only do I love to eat well, I love to do so with healthy, wholesome ingredients. I’ve worked in the packaged food industry for almost ten years, and I’ve learned some tips and tricks along the way about how to indulge smartly and what to avoid. I'm hoping that if you follow along, you might pick up a thing or two, too.

So that’s The Wholesome Hedonist. I considered going with the Healthy Hedonist, but it was taken. And the Easy Hedonist, while certain to jumpstart the number of hits on the site, wouldn’t really deliver, leaving a trail of disappointed swingers in its midst. (Note: if you are a misdirected swinger, my apologies. I hear that The Happy Hedonist is where it’s at.)

Also note: My husband is referred to on this site as A., and my adorable baby son is known as M. This was my husband's choice. I wanted to refer to them as El Guapo and Hefe, but was forced to reconsider this decision under threat of dissolution of the marriage.

Final note: This is my personal blog and the opinions I express are mine alone. The photos on this site are all taken by me (unless otherwise noted) and may not be used without my permission.

I'd love to hear from you! You can reach me at info(at)wholesomehedonist(dot)com. Or follow me on Pinterest and Twitter!
